Myofascial Release
When our fascial system (connective tissue) is troubled, it affects our entire existence. Our Advanced Bodywork services incorporate Myofascial Release Therapy as our foundational technique in our treatments to create space at a cellular level for the body to release unhealthy tissue and holding patterns. Allow the MIND & BODY to re-connect to gain optimal mobility and function!
Myofascial Release is a gentle form of stretching and balancing that has a deep and profound effect on the body’s fascial and muscular tissues. After identifying trigger points where muscles have unhealthy tension and holding patterns a whole BODY and MIND approach is used to reduce pain, restore movement and improve function.
The technique of myofascial release and unwinding are hands-on methods for initiating traumatic memory release. Myofascial work locates and physically frees the restrictions in muscles and surrounding fascial tissue that house traumatic memories.
I use manual therapies as part of your healing process to help transform your body into its “optimal functional state”. Through our hands-on approach we take action to improve your state of health on a metabolic level by eliminating chronic inflammation in your system. We incorporate a variety of soft tissue mobilizations, functional mobilizations, neuromuscular re-education, and range of motion stretching to create a full circle in the rehabilitation process for the body to experience lasting results.
We see our clients experience life changing transformations and live a life of higher quality they didn’t know was possible!

“Trauma, inflammatory responses, surgery, and emotional upheavals in one’s life can create myofascial restrictions that can produce crushing pressure up to 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, MRI, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)” – John F. Barnes, PT, LMT, NCTMB

Kinesio Taping
What does Kinesio® Taping do?
The Kinesio Taping Method is a rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to help the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. As well as providing extended benefits beyond the therapy administered within the clinical setting.
The taping method is applied over muscles to reduce pain and inflammation, relax overused or tired muscles, and support muscles in movement on a 24-hour-a-day basis. Kinesio tape is used to treat anything from headaches to foot problems and everything in-between.
Examples include rehabilitation and preventative care for:
- Sports injuries
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Neck and lower back strain/pain
- Pregnancy (prevention of pre-term labor and cramping, back pain, leg swelling)
- Knee and shoulder conditions
- Plantar Fasciitis
- And many more.
Is it the tape or the technique that gives such great results?
Without a doubt, the technique is the most important aspect in achieving the greatest therapeutic results. But the full benefits of the Kinesio® Taping Method were not possible until Kinesio® Tex Tape was developed. The Kinesio® Taping Method requires a tape that is patient and skin-friendly, possesses optimum elastic qualities, is the same thickness as the skin, and is durable enough to stay on for multiple days, even through sweating and showers.
